AVIMETAL

From Ore to Measured Metal: AVIMETAL’s Automated Container Laboratory Concept

Analysis, Metallurgy

AVIMETAL is developing a compact, containerized system designed to process a nominal 31.1 kg ore batch and connect physical precious metal recovery with analytical verification.

The first development phase focuses on gold and silver: measuring the final recovered weight and verifying purity, while accounting for metals remaining in slag, dust, electrolyte, and residues. Platinum group metals would be reported through ICP-MS analysis.

The proposed system brings the following equipment inside one container:

• Mini jaw crusher and hammer crusher
• Ceramic ball mill and magnetic separator
• Air cyclone and dust collector
• Compact autoclave and dryer
• Copper collector melting and tube-type anode casting
• Cyclone electrorefining and electrowinning cells
• Analytical weighing, sample handling, and reporting station

Treatment routes would be selected according to the feed material. Each ore does not necessarily require every process.

An industrial automation controller and AI accelerator would support process monitoring, data review, and report generation. IoT connectivity would enable remote supervision and access to batch records, with equipment protection and critical interlocks handled locally.

The goal is to give mine operators and project developers two connected results: what the sample contains and what the tested process physically recovers.

Development will begin with Au/Ag recovery trials, reference materials, repeatability testing, and independent laboratory comparisons. Recovery performance, analytical accuracy, cycle time, and operating costs must be demonstrated before commercial release.

Our vision is a practical laboratory that brings sample preparation, recovery testing, and traceable reporting closer to the mine.
