Project Executive Summary
CuGold Co., Ltd. engaged Avimetal to construct an existing precious metals facility into a fully integrated multi-metal recovery refinery. The plant processes PGM concentrates, gold concentrates, copper-bearing materials, and smelter slags — combining conventional mineral processing, copper smelting, electrorefining (ER), and electrowinning (EW) to maximize recovery of Au, Ag, Pt, and Pd. Substantial reuse of existing infrastructure kept capital costs well below a greenfield build while delivering a modern, multi-revenue-stream operation.
