Avimetal’s Filter Press Module is a containerized solid-liquid separation system designed to dewater slurry, concentrate, tailings, and process residues in modular mineral processing plants. The module uses pressure filtration to separate liquid from solids, producing a drier filter cake and cleaner filtrate for reuse or downstream processing. It is designed to reduce water loss, improve material handling, support closed-loop water recycling, and integrate with upstream leaching, grinding, concentration, and downstream drying or refining systems.

Cycle: Slurry pumped in → cake forms against filter cloth → air blow dewaters → plates open → cake drops to conveyor or bin → cloths automatically washed → plates close → next cycle. Filter cake moisture is application-dependent: 12–18% typical for chamber-plate operation on mineral concentrate and can drop to 8–12% with extended air-blow time or membrane squeeze-plate upgrade. Filter cloth selection includes polypropylene standard cloths or PVDF / PTFE for chemically aggressive duties. Closed-loop water recovery makes this module suitable for water-scarce sites and ESG-compliant operations.
